About Us

GET Gas Training are a purpose built centre specifically for the Domestic, Non-Domestic Commercial and Catering Gas Industry and the Electrical Industry based in Glasgow minutes from Junction 10 & 11 of the M8 motorway.

Our centre is equipped with all the latest technologies on offer within the current market.

We were established in 2017 to provide gas engineers with quality training and assessment allowing them to gain and/or retain their Gas Safe registration and also allow New Entrants into the industry through the “Managed Learning Programme” course.

Our training staff (all A1 accredited assessors) have a combined career of over 100 years’ experience within the industry.

How did GET (Gas Educational Training) come about?

For many years now Gas Call Services has encountered a re-occurring theme within our industry in that there was an acute lack of quality training facilities specifically within the area of our client base for the Gas Industry. As a Company, training is extremely close to our heart in order that we provide a safe and quality service to all our clients and to be the best in our class.

In 2015, we took the decision to focus on creating a bespoke Training Centre within our Head Office in Glasgow and partnering with local employment initiatives to provide free of charge training and create full time jobs for those that successfully completed the training to our exacting standards. This was hugely successful and we created 19 full time jobs as a result of this initiative. This was something we were keen to continue and improve on throughout the coming years.

Due to the overwhelming success of this project we secured new premises next door to our Head Office in Gas Call and created a new company called GET (Gas Educational Training) and constructed a new commercial Logic Approved Centre of Excellence that provides Gas Foundation Training (Approved Prior Learning – New Entrants Course), ACS Training and Assessments as well as many other bespoke training modules. This will ensure that well trained operatives are available within the Gas Industry for many years to come.

We fully understand that there is a national skills shortage within our sector and as a result of this we will continue to train Gas Safe Registered engineers, apprentices and new adult recruits and partner with employment initiatives, schools and colleges to provide a well-trained and motivated workforce for the future.
